Chosen Instrument played By God

When the Lord said to Jeremiah, “I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. I selected you and set you apart [made you holy] as My chosen instrument”, Jeremiah did not know who he was.

It was God who made Jeremiah aware of what He [God] made him [Jeremiah] before he was formed in his mother’s womb. Therefore, Jeremiah did not know that he was an instrument until God made him aware that he is the instrument that He [God] will [now] play.

You can be holy without being aware that God has made you holy. This shows that Instruments [those who walk by faith] do not play themselves, but they are played (used) by God.
