We should always follow the most excellent way. When we eager for the most excellent way (greater gifts) we allow the Holy Spirit to take us and operate beyond titles and gifts. For one can speak in tongues of angels and of men, but if they lack love (God), they are nothing. Meaning that one can speak in tongues of [own] strength power. Such a person is not communicating with God because only through the Spirit of God are we able to communicate with Him.
