If you think that you are great while you are not it implies that the Kingdom of God has not yet come. The disciples would often ask Jesus, “Who is the greatest?” They wanted to know who was better than others among themselves as contemporaries, peers, colleagues, etc. However, Jesus’ teaching was that the least in the Kingdom shall be the greatest. The greatest in the Kingdom is the one who is greater than John, a servant with humility.
