This includes men and women alike, they all become a wife to God. Adam brought destruction and Jesus brought salvation. Adam is a prefigure (a pattern) of the Christ, not the reality. For before a garment is made, there is a pattern.
Adam had a wife called Eve [who was a pattern] and Jesus has a wife which is His body, the church [who is the reality].
